We’re challenging you to disconnect from social media for 2 full weeks! Stay off of social platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Pinterest for 14 days as part of your healthy Self Care. Studies show that limiting time on social media can reduce loneliness and depression.
Here’s what you can do when you’re not connected into those online social relationships:
spend time with your significant other and family
give your full attention to your workout
connect with your kids
focus on your spiritual practices
enjoy solitude
quiet your mind and spirit
spend time outdoors
rest and renew
If social media posting is part of your job, then of course that needs to continue. Just try the disconnect for your personal time. You can do anything for 14 days. You might need to unsubscribe from emails or disable notifications on your phone. You can do this!
We’re trying it, too. We’ll let you know how it goes for us. Challenge yourself along with friends, family, and coworkers to a Social Media Fast as part of healthy Self Care practices. You’re worth taking care of!
No matter who you are, or where you are in your hospice journey, you are The Heart of Hospice.
